Christmas Eve Luminarias
Setting out rows of Luminaria candles on Christmas Eve to light the way for the Christ child is an old Christmas tradition. Forest Ridge will continue this tradition of decorating the neighborhood with Luminarias at dusk on December 24th. Christ our Hope Church is selling Luminaria Kits for $5 each. They are small white paper bags, anchored with sand and contain small votive candles. Each kit contains 10 bags, 10 candles, and enough sand for each. The bags are to be spaced out on the grass between the sidewalk and the street and then lit at dusk. Join us and help continue the tradition of the Luminarias. You can pick up luminarias at Christ our Hope Church (3425 Valley Street) on Saturday, December 19 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. You can also pick them up Monday through Friday at Century Systems (2629 Valley Pike) from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. starting December 17th and ending December 23rd.
